1. Add your kennels
- Open Boarding → Kennels and press Add kennel.
- Give it a Name (for example K1 or Cattery A), a Size (Small, Medium, Large, Cattery or Exotic) and a Daily rate.
- Inactive kennels can't be booked and are hidden from the board.
2. Reserve a stay
- Press New stay and choose the Pet. The stay is billed to the pet's owner.
- Choose a Kennel (or leave it for later) and the Check-in and Check-out dates. Vetlyn shows the number of nights and the total.
- The Daily rate uses the kennel's rate unless you enter a different one.
- Add Feeding notes, Medication notes and any other notes (belongings, behaviour, emergency contact).
3. Use the board
The Board tab shows every kennel with who is in it, plus counts for occupied kennels, pets in house, arrivals today and departures today. Stays without a kennel and upcoming reservations are listed underneath. Use Check in and Check out as pets arrive and leave.
4. Keep a daily care log
On the stay page, press Add entry under Daily care log to record whether the pet ate, was walked and had its medication, with a note. Entries are listed newest first, so whoever is on shift can see the full picture.
5. Bill the stay
Press Bill this stay to create an invoice for nights × daily rate. Tax and discounts are applied on the invoice, where you can also add extras such as grooming or medication.
Tip
Have owners sign the Boarding agreement form at drop-off. See Consent forms and signatures.
