Careers

Help vets get their evenings back.

Vetlyn is a small, remote-first team in Pakistan building practice software for veterinary clinics and Pawzaar for the pet owners they serve. We hire carefully and in small numbers, and we would like to hear from people who want to build this with us.

We don’t advertise fixed vacancies yet. Instead we keep applications open in the four areas below and get in touch when there is a fit.

// How we work

Remote, written down, close to real clinics.

Remote-first, in Pakistan time

There is no office to commute to. We work across Pakistan and keep a shared window in the middle of the PKT working day for calls, reviews and pairing. Outside that, you plan your own hours.

Written by default

Decisions, plans and handovers are written down so nobody has to be online at the same moment to know what is going on. Meetings are short and have a reason to exist.

Close to the clinic

We build from what we see in real practices: the front desk at 9am, the consult room, the notes at 9pm. Everyone on the team talks to vets, nurses and receptionists, not just the people in sales.

Small team, real ownership

You will own whole pieces of work from the first conversation to the clinic using it. That means less hand-holding and more trust, and it also means saying early when something is stuck.

// What we value

Four things we hold each other to.

These are the same principles we build Vetlyn by. If they sound like how you already like to work, you will probably enjoy it here.

Why we built Vetlyn
  1. 1

    Honest by default

    We tell clinics what Vetlyn does today and what it does not. We give each other the same courtesy: clear feedback, early bad news, no spin.

  2. 2

    Vets stay in charge

    Software drafts, reminds and adds up. Clinical judgement belongs to qualified people, and we design every AI feature with that in mind.

  3. 3

    Finish the job

    A feature is done when a busy clinic can use it without help, the edge cases are handled and the help article is written, not when the code merges.

  4. 4

    Respect people’s time

    A vet’s evening, an owner’s afternoon, a teammate’s focus. If something we build or do wastes time, we fix it.

// What we can offer

Honest perks for a small company.

We are early, so we won’t promise a games room or a big-company benefits package. Here is what we can stand behind.

Work from where you live

Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad or a smaller city: what matters is a reliable connection and a quiet place to work, not a postcode.

Flexible hours

Be around for the shared PKT window and plan the rest of your day yourself, including around family and prayer times.

Work that ships

What you build reaches real clinics and pet owners within days, and you hear directly what worked and what did not.

Learn the clinic world

Sit in on onboarding calls, visit clinics and learn how a practice actually runs, from vaccine schedules to cash at the counter.

Clear terms in writing

Pay, hours, notice period and leave are agreed and written down before you start, so nobody is guessing later.

Time off that is respected

Pakistan’s public holidays, including both Eids, are days off. When you are on leave, nobody expects replies.

These are the areas we expect to grow in. Apply to the one that fits you best; we keep every application and come back to you when a role opens.

What you’d work on

  • Clean and import client lists, and help move patient history across

What you’d work on

  • Review clinical features before release: SOAP notes, AI Scribe, prescriptions, vaccinations and boarding care
  • Help write and check clinical content, such as consent form templates and blog articles

  • Organised enough to keep many small threads moving at once

Nice to have

  • Experience in e-commerce, delivery or marketplace operations
  • Knowledge of the pet or veterinary supply trade

Say hello

// Hiring process

Five steps, no surprises.

We try to keep the whole process to a few weeks, and we tell you where you stand after every step.

  1. 01

    Send a note

    Use the contact form with the Careers topic. Say which area interests you and link to your work. No cover letter needed.

  2. 02

    We reply

    Every note gets a reply, even when the answer is “not right now”. If there is a fit, we suggest a time to talk.

  3. 03

    Intro call

    About 30 minutes on video. We explain what we are working on; you tell us what you are good at and what you want next.

  4. 04

    A practical step

    A short exercise based on real work, kept to a few hours at most, or a walkthrough of something you have already built or done.

  5. 05

    Offer in writing

    If we both want to go ahead, you get the role, pay, hours, notice period and start date in writing before you decide.

// What to send

Three things, that’s it.

  1. 1About youA few lines about you and which area above you would like to work in.
  2. 2A link to your workA CV, LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio, or anything you are proud of.
  3. 3For vets and nursesWhere you practise, and what slows your clinic down most today.

Where to send it

The contact form is best: it reaches the people who hire, and we reply to everyone.
