Keep a busy hospital running in step.
More vets, more rooms and more hand-offs mean more ways for things to fall between the cracks. Vetlyn gives every role a clear view of the day and a record that shows who did what.

What gets in the way today, and the feature that fixes it
Each problem on the left is matched to a real Vetlyn feature on the right.
- 01
The problem
Coordination across vets and rooms
Reception can't see who is free, who is running late, or which patient is waiting for whom.
Vetlyn
Day grid per vet
Every vet gets a column, with statuses from checked in to in exam to done. Overlap protection stops double-booking when booking or rescheduling.
- 02
The problem
Unclear clinical sign-off
Notes get edited after the fact and nobody can tell whether a record is final.
Vetlyn
Sign & lock
Vets, admins and owners sign visits, which locks notes, vitals and prescriptions and records who signed. Only an owner or admin can reopen.
- 03
The problem
Access that's all or nothing
Everyone can do everything, including voiding invoices and exporting the client list.
Vetlyn
Roles & permissions
Owner, admin, vet, nurse and reception roles. Exports, voids, settings and team changes are limited to owners and admins.
- 04
The problem
Management by gut feel
Revenue, case mix and stock value come from spreadsheets assembled at month end.
Vetlyn
Reports
Overview, sales, clinical, stock and staff reports for any period, each with CSV export for your accountant or management.
- 07:30
Roster check
The shift roster shows who is in, who is on call, and each person's hours this week.
- 08:00
Doors open
Reception works from the Day grid, checking patients in as they arrive.
- 08:40
Surgery admissions
Owners sign the treatment & anaesthesia consent on a tablet at the desk.
- 10:00
Consults across rooms
Nurses record vitals; vets dictate with AI Scribe and prescribe from inventory.
- 12:30
Boarders' care log
Kennel staff log meals, walks and medication for every boarder.
- 16:00
Billing
Invoices are created from each visit; reception adds services and takes payment.
- 19:00
Close out
The dashboard shows notes still to sign. Managers check the day in Reports.

Good to know
What Vetlyn doesn't do (yet)
3 things worth knowing before you start your trial.
- 1
Branches are recorded, not separated
You can list your locations, but calendars, stock and reports are clinic-wide today. Groups that need separate books can set each site up as its own clinic and switch between them.
- 2
No inpatient treatment sheets yet
Visits, prescriptions and boarding care logs are built in; dedicated hospitalisation and ICU treatment sheets are not.
- 3
No lab or imaging integrations
Results are uploaded to the visit or patient as files (PDFs, images, up to 25 MB each).
// FAQ
Questions from animal hospitals
The things teams like yours ask before they switch.
Something else?Talk to the Vetlyn teamCan we restrict what reception can do?
Sensitive actions are restricted by role: only owners and admins can change settings, manage the team, export data, void invoices, reopen signed visits or delete signed forms. Everyday screens are shared so staff can cover for each other.
Can one person work across two hospitals?
Yes. A person can be invited to more than one clinic and switch between them from the top bar. Each clinic's records stay completely separate.
How do we get our existing data in?
Owners and admins can import clients from CSV. For patients and history from another system, our team helps map and bring it across. See the data migration page.
Can we export everything?
Yes. CSV exports for the main records and a full JSON backup are available to owners and admins at any time.
