Who can see your clinic's data

How clinic data is kept separate, how access is controlled, and how records are protected from accidental changes.

Each clinic is separate

Every record in Vetlyn belongs to a clinic, and the database itself checks that people can only read and change records for clinics they are a member of. Joining a clinic needs an invite link from its owner or an admin, sent to your email address.

Access inside your clinic

  • Roles control sensitive actions such as exports, voiding invoices, reopening signed visits and changing settings. See Roles and permissions.
  • Invite links work once and expire after 14 days. Revoke unused ones from Pending invitations.
  • When someone leaves, remove them from Team members straight away.

Protecting the record

  • Signed visits are locked. Only an owner or admin can reopen one.
  • Appointments keep a status timeline of every change with who made it.
  • Stock movements record the reason and who made each adjustment.
  • Voided invoices keep their payments on record.

Signing in

Sign in with your email and password, or ask for a one-time sign-in link by email. If you forget your password, use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. You can change your password and sign out of a device in Settings → Profile.

Good practice

Give everyone their own login rather than sharing one, so records show who did what. Sign out on shared computers at the end of the day.
